Matthew 6:17&18 – But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

It is not unusual to feel some discomfort in your body during a fast.  That needn’t cause panic or discouragement.  These little discomforts will pass away as you progress with the fast.  You may feel a slight headache. It is simply because your body is doing something different. You have to take some pain so that you can make some gain. If you love yourself too much, you will not take the pain and there will be no gain. I see blessings; breakthroughs and your seeds of investment become mighty harvests of all round success. The headache will go away, don’t concentrate on it too much. If the headache is very distracting you can take a mild pain reliever, but don’t break your fast. Get into the habit of never breaking a fast once you get committed.

You may also feel dizzy during a fast, which can be tricky. You would think that some of the worst health problems have suddenly hit you, don’t worry; remember you are fasting. Sit down for a while and close your eyes, the dizziness will go away. Don’t do anything too suddenly when fasting. Sit down slowly and stand up slowly. It will go away. Drink some water, but don’t break your fast.

Prayer/Affirmation: The God of heaven will turn your prayer points into mighty testimonies of joy in the mighty name of Jesus.
